Kevin Spencer’s paper on “HOCUS FOCUS: EVALUATING THE PEDAGOGICAL IMPLICATIONS OF INTEGRATING MAGIC TRICKS IN CLASSROOM INSTRUCTION” was recently published (Dec 2012) in the Journal of the International Society for Teacher Education (Vol. 16, No. 2, 2012)

Kevin Spencer, the founder of Hocus Focus, received his Certification in Autism Studies from the College of Applied Human Services.

Notification that the Journal of Modern Education Review accepted our research paper, Evaluating the Pedagogical Implications of Integrating Magic Tricks in Classroom Instruction, for publication in the next issue.

MAGIC IN THE MAKING

There have been several articles featuring the HOCUS FOCUS project in the last few months.  The Minneapolis Star Tribune and the Pittsburg Morning Sun were two of the best.

Richard Milne (Gleeson College – Australia) has just completed a research project using the Hocus Focus curriculum with a group of students with Autism.  The results are outstanding – stay tuned for a full report.
